Q: I would like to sign up for a VoIP service at home, but where I live was not on your list of cities. Does that mean I can not get VOiP here

A: If you live in the US (regardless of the city), you should be able to use VoIP as long as you have the following :.

  1. A broadband Internet cable or DSL or
  2. A touch-tone telephone. Wireless is OK, but to dial telephones will not work. If you do not have a touch-tone phone, you can purchase a low-cost phone to your pharmacy or the market chain.
  3. The VoIP phone adapter, which will be sent to you with the service you sign up. Most services, including Vonage, and VOIPo PhonePower, will give you the adapter for free.
