A: HIPAA, The Accountability Act Insurance Portability and health, is intended to meet the security and privacy of health data . Because the electronic transfer of health data is much more effective and efficient, HIPAA requirements are designed to create security standards for these practices. Online backup providers can not certify that they are officially compliant HIPAA.

According to the Dropbox help page, they do not currently have this certification.
