A: We addressed this issue in general before on the blog, but I can offer some rooms specific tips for working with Barnes and Noble files. Users almost always download audio books through their computers. Barnes and Noble uses a free software called the Consul OverDrive Media to download purchased files. This program should work properly on a Mac or PC. You can learn more about how downloading software performed in our detailed review of audio books from Barnes and Noble.

Some people choose to listen to audio books on the computer, which requires no additional equipment. If you want to take your books with you and listen to them on the road, an MP3 player should be able to handle files of Barnes and Noble, including iPods and iPhones. Today, most MP3 players will work with Mac and PC operating systems, including Windows Vista. The ODM Consul can transfer the files to the MP3 player of your choice, or you can transfer music through a program like iTunes.
