AVG establishes the curve with their new Do-Not-Track function security, which could prove to be fashionable in the next series of press security software. If you are worried about your personal information being tracked when you are online, this is the perfect line of defense.
In short, the new feature alerts you when a site tries to set a monitoring mechanism, either a tracking cookie from an ad network, a "social button" as the button like Facebook and Google +1, or Web analytics cookie. It can be installed as a plug-in for most major Web browsers, including Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome browsers. If you are an AVG user you can download the new free feature from their site.
